Gabriel Colón started playing volleyball at the age of 8 and continued playing for 14 years. As a young player. he had the opportunity to play with the Puerto Rican Youth National Team. After playing with the youth national team for 2 years, Gabriel played in the Boys Junior Olympics with his club team. Gabriel attended the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus, where he played outside on their men’s team, making it to the finals his Freshman season. After college, Gabriel started his coaching career successfully with Guaynabo Mets. Upon moving to Orlando, continued his coaching career with OTVA and has positively impacted the program in both head coach and assistant coach roles.
